About

Travel Radar LK is an independent travel research project focused on Mexico and the Caribbean — Cancun, the Riviera Maya, Tulum, and the Dominican Republic — with practical trip-planning guides.

Travel Radar LK is built around helping travelers make smarter travel decisions: where to stay, what transportation costs to expect, and how to avoid marketing hype when choosing a hotel.

We do not publish superficial, overly enthusiastic reviews. Instead, we focus on clear, honest, and thoroughly researched information.

Our Analytical Approach

We believe that choosing the right area is more important than choosing a specific hotel. Here's how we research every destination.

Neighborhood-by-Neighborhood Analysis

We break down large resort areas (e.g., the Hotel Zone in Cancun) into micro-neighborhoods, detailing the pros and cons of each.

Transportation Costs

We analyze transfer costs and distances from airports and ferries. A cheap hotel far from infrastructure often ends up costing more.

Our Research Methodology

Every guide goes through our editorial review process. Here is how we create our content:

Our Team

We do not pretend that a single person has personally visited thousands of hotels. Instead, Travel Radar LK relies on a small team with different areas of expertise.

Leonid Kadantsev

Leonid founded Travel Radar LK and created its research methodology. As Editor-in-Chief, he oversees the project's research standards, editorial direction, and the final review of every guide. Instead of relying on superficial reviews, he analyzes thousands of guest reviews, studies satellite maps, and evaluates travel logistics to cut through marketing claims.

This analytical approach was shaped by more than twenty years of managing complex IT infrastructure projects as a Senior Infrastructure & Systems Engineer — a discipline he now applies to travel research.
